In the UK, vehicles over 40 years old can qualify for historic status, making them more affordable to run while still offering all the character and enjoyment of a classic car. Benefits of Historic Vehicles

Once a vehicle reaches 40 years old and is registered as Historic on the V5C, it qualifies for the following:

  • ULEZ Exempt
  • Road Tax Free
  • MOT Exempt

Insurance for historic vehicles is often much cheaper than for modern cars, with many policies costing far less depending on usage and mileage. This can make classic motoring more accessible than many people expect.

Although historic vehicles are exempt from MOT testing, we are happy to arrange an independent MOT inspection if you would like additional peace of mind. This gives you a clear, unbiased view of the vehicle’s condition before purchase or use.
